Maple Lodge is a single story building that was originally an infant school. The home is divided into two units, one which specialises in the care of people living with the early stages of dementia and the other unit catering to people requiring personal care.
The home is situated only a short distance from the main bus route into Liverpool City Centre and close to the village where there are numerous shops and restaurants. All rooms at Maple Lodge are for single occupancy, and there are several bathrooms and toilets suitable for the service user needs on each unit. Each unit has its own lounge/dining room, as well as access to secure garden areas and the home has a fully equipped hairdressing saloon.
All service users are treated as individuals and the staff focus on what they can do for themselves, and not on what they can no longer do. The home promotes independence, dignity and respect, through positive risk taking and empowerment.
Our senior care team is on hand 24 hours a day to provide a high standard of care, they are supported by a well-trained and caring team of carers and support staff. The manager operates an open door policy to discuss any issues or concerns from any service user and/or relatives.
Our catering team are on hand every day to ensure that the nutritional requirements of all our service users are met, with all special diets catered for. Our chefs come and meet all our service users to discuss meal choices, likes and dislikes. An activity organiser is employed to engage service users in meaningful activities and to encourage service users to become involved in outings and events within the home.
Our philosophy of care states that attention to detail is the difference and all our staff are willing and able to go the extra mile.
